Jerome “Jerry” K. Greig is a celebrated business and civic leader whose dedication and accomplishments embody the spirit of service recognized by the Lafayette Civic Cup.

Professional Journey & Leadership

Jerry is a seasoned executive with deep experience in energy, healthcare, technology, strategy, process improvement, and operations. He retired as Chief Information Officer of Fugro Chance Inc., where he drove business-aligned technological innovation and operational transformation.

In 2013, he joined the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana Board of Directors, where he contributes significantly as Chairman of the Board and serves on its philanthropic foundation. Recognized for his leadership capabilities, Jerry is also a Board Leadership Fellow with the National Association of Corporate Directors and was among the first nationally to earn the NACD/CERT Certificate in Cybersecurity Oversight.

He joined the Acadian Companies Board of Directors in 2018, where he currently serves as Chairman of the Governance Committee, guiding the company’s strategic and ethical oversight.

Civic Involvement & Community Leadership

A devoted Lafayette resident, Jerry has held several influential civic roles, including:

  • Past Chairman of the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce
  • Past Chairman of United Way of Acadiana
  • Past Chairman of St. Thomas More Catholic High School and its foundation

These leadership roles reflect his deep commitment to education, business, and community well-being.

Education & Personal Life

Jerry earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and a Master of Science from Clemson University. His career in energy included assignments in Dallas and Houston, yet he chose to make Lafayette his home alongside his wife, Nancy.
