About the St. Landry Foundation
Established in 2017, the focus of St. Landry Foundation is community development, social services and education.
St. Landry Foundation, an affiliate of Community Foundation of Acadiana, is comprised of two groups of Funds – (1) donor-directed Funds, and (2) a permanent Fund for St. Landry Parish.
The Permanent Fund component is a permanent source of funding to support strategic initiatives, needs, organizations, and opportunities throughout St. Landry Parish, including the communities of Arnaudville, Cankton, Eunice, Grand Coteau, Krotz Springs, Leonville, Mellville, Opelousas, Palmetto and Lebeau, Port Barre, Sunset, and Washington.
The local Affiliate Advisory Board determines strategic or competitive philanthropic grants and/or investments within focus areas of community development, social services and education:
- Community Development – organizations, events or projects that make the St. Landry Parish community stronger
- Social Services – groups or projects that help the needy and underserved populations
- Education – public and private schools, and groups and projects that support education

Affiliate Advisory Board
The St. Landry Affiliate Advisory Board consists of individuals that can reside in or represent St. Landry Parish. CFA seeks affiliate members with integrity and a variety of perspectives, opinions and experiences who are capable and committed to the Foundation’s core purpose of building legacies and improving communities by connecting generous people to the causes they care about.
