Registration and orientation meetings for the third annual South Louisiana (SOLA) Giving Day event will be held on Thursday, January 30 and Tuesday, February 4.

The meetings will be held at 9:00 a.m., and 1:00 p.m., respectively, on each of the designated days. All sessions will be held at the Community Foundation of Acadiana, located at 1035 Camellia Boulevard, Suite 100 in Lafayette.

A representative with the organization who is interested in participating in SOLA Giving Day must attend ONE of the four meetings. It is NOT required for the representative to participate in MULTIPLE meetings.

SOLA Giving Day is offered to 501(c)3 nonprofits, churches, and schools in South Louisiana. It’s a spring fundraising campaign that spans three months and culminates with 24 hours of giving on Thursday, May 7.

During this period, the general public can make a tax-deductible online donation to the organization of their choice by visiting www.SOLAGivingDay.org.

The purpose of the event is to assist organizations in raising funds for a capital campaign, a specific project, or a program.

In the first two years, SOLA Giving Day has generated over $2.5M for more than 130 local nonprofits.

SOLA Giving Day is an online fundraising tool provided by Community Foundation of Acadiana.

Participants must reserve a spot to attend one of the mandatory registration meetings by visiting online www.SOLAGivingDay.org/about.

The goal is to inspire the community to come together to contribute as many charitable dollars as possible.
