Walk on the Wild Side for Autism –> Autism Society of Acadiana

Walk on the Wild Side for Autism is a family friendly fundraiser hosted by the Autism Society Acadiana. This event invites individuals families and community partners to walk together in support of autism programs across Acadiana. With themed team shirts, sponsor swag, music, animal sightings and meaningful community engagement, the event offers a fun and memorable way to make a difference. The purpose of the walk on the wild side is to raise awareness, acceptance, and funding for local autism programs that directly benefit families and Acadiana. Proceeds from the event support vital initiatives, including free swim lessons for autistic individuals, life skill workshops, sensory friendly events, teacher mini grants, family stipends support groups and more. The event also aims to strengthen community bonds and highlight the importance of compassion, inclusions and advocacy for individuals with autism and their loved ones.
