This wildly funny and unexpectedly touching, Tony Award–winning musical follows six quirky middle school students as they compete for the spelling championship of a lifetime. Guided by former spelling bee champ Rona Lisa Peretti and a colorful panel of adults, each speller brings their own hopes, fears, and hilarious backstories to the mic. As the competition heats up, friendships form, insecurities unravel, and audiences discover that winning isn’t always everything.
