On August 16, 1920, on the banks of the Vermilion Bayou at the Surrey Street bridge, American Legion Post 69 received its Charter.

Under the historic oaks, what is now known as Stanley Martin-Felix Ducrest Post 69, the Post continues to uphold the founding four pillars of The American Legion: Americanism, Children and Youth, National Security, and Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation.

Our Post’s continued success is not done alone. We have honor in working together with the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 69 (ALA), and the Sons of the American Legion Squadron 69 (SAL).

With the combined efforts we have been able to maintain. Within the community, our Post 69 home has hosted weddings, receptions, bingo, and parties for decades. Our building has deteriorated, and our membership would like to make it a functional part of our community again, as well as a meeting hall and resource center for our veterans. With your help, we can do just that! Please join us in our efforts to Rebuild Post 69 and reopen our post home by our 100th birthday.

Donations are accepted online using a debit or credit card.
