“DaVita Way of Giving” Donates $6,000 to Acadiana Disaster Relief - 4/13/2017 -

(Lafayette, LA) The "DaVita Way of Giving” donates $6,000 contribution from its annual giving campaign to the Acadiana Disaster Relief Fund at Community Foundation of Acadiana in Lafayette.

DaVita Inc., a Fortune 500® company, provides healthcare services around the world to approximately 1.5 million patients. The company has over 70,000 employees that are given the opportunity to contribute annually to the "DaVita Way of Giving” campaign. Each year, the campaign allows its employees to choose the nonprofit organization to support through its direct contributions campaign.

Community Foundation of Acadiana was honored to be chosen by the DaVita and Group Hospital Services - Elite Force Region 3 to receive the pool of donations made to the campaign from Louisiana and Texas. "I’m grateful for the generosity of the team at Davita,” said Raymond Hébert, CEO and President at Community Foundation of Acadiana. "It’s estimated that our region will continue to rebuild from the August floods over the next five years. This substantial contribution will do great things for residents benefiting from the Acadiana Disaster Response Fund,” he said.
