Friends of the Community Fund

One fund in particular makes the Foundation's work in the community possible.

The Ultimate Way to Give...

Anyone can get started.  Become a member and partner by giving to the Friends of the Community Fund which supports the Foundation's infrastructure, secures its future and sustains its mission to improve the quality of life in our region.

It takes human and financial resources to increase giving in our community, to help donors achieve their philanthropic goals and to provide leadership on community needs and opportunities.  A gift to this fund is truly the ultimate way to give.

The Foundation's charitable outreach is broad: from granting over $11.5 million for hurricane disaster relief and recovery to supporting disadvantaged youth striving to overcome obstacles in challenging neighborhoods to transporting our revered World War II veterans to the National World War II Memorial in Washington D.C. to providing a vehicle to develop the Horse Farm initiative as a premier public green space to providing resources for the development of the Atakapas-Ishak Trail.

A gift to the Friends of the Community Fund helps the Foundation continue to impact our community and sustains its mission to improve the quality of life in our region.   The Foundation's over $20 million in grants, mostly donor-directed, to Acadiana nonprofits could not be possible without Friends like you.

Stay connected to the pulse of our community's needs by giving a gift, at any level, to this Fund.  Your gift makes you an annual member of the Foundation, and you receive many benefits.

These are just a few ways the Foundation has positively impacted Acadiana since 2000 and will continue to pave the way for a new era in philanthropy with the support of its "Friends".
