The Affiliate Grants Program is made possible by charitable funds established by individuals, families, and businesses who have contributed gifts to CFA and believe in creating lasting local change. These funds have created the Evangeline Affiliate Foundation, the Iberia Affiliate Foundation, the St. Mary Affiliate Foundation, the St. Landry Affiliate Foundation, and the Vermilion Affiliate Foundation.

Guidelines

Community Foundation of Acadiana is proud to launch the first cycle of competitive grants through its Parish Affiliate funds.

Please carefully read grant guidelines for more on each Affiliate Foundation’s focus areas.

These guidelines have been designed to help make applying for a grant from the Affiliate Advisory Boards easy. Each proposal will be reviewed by a panel of community members and formally approved by the foundation’s Board of Directors. Awards will be determined based on the proposal’s value to the residents and communities in Acadiana, availability of funding, and quality and vision presented in the application.

To be eligible for a grant, your organization must have non-profit status under the 501(c)3 Internal Revenue Code, projects and programs seeking funding must be based and actively functioning within the geographical limits of the parish, and grant applications must demonstrate clear alignment with the parish’s established focus areas.

Can I apply with more than one project?

Please select one project to submit.

What if my organization operates in a non-eligible parish but my proposed project would help me expand into an eligible parish?

If your new project intends to serve an eligible parish, you can submit your proposed project. Please be sure to select that you intend to operate in that eligible parish in your eligibility quiz and be sure to clearly outline in your application how the grant would help you serve the intended parish.

If your proposed project is not in an eligible parish, you may be eligible in the future for an Acadiana-wide grant process, currently in development.
