LAGCOE Sporting Clays Shoot

Young Professionals of LAGCOE are proud to announce our 1stannual Sporting Clays Tournament on Friday, September 20th and Saturday, September 21st, 2013, at GOL SHOOTING (11919 Louisiana 697, Maurice, LA, 70555).

 
The shoot will be limited to 80 teams on Friday and 120 teams on Saturday. Flights will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis and the entry fee will be $600.00 per 4-man team. Team Captains must be employed in the petroleum industry. Other team members can be filled at captains' discretion. Proceeds will fund the LAGCOE Education Fund. Purposes for the fund include projects that serve to educate the public or the industry in a manner that will be beneficial to the overall.

Registration will begin at GOL on Friday, September20th at 12:00 pm and will resume Saturday morning at 7:00 am. Shooters should be ready to shoot approximately 30 minutes prior to the start of their flight. Shooters must attend a mandatory safety briefing 30 minutes prior to start.
 

Included in the main entry will be the challenge of a one hundred (100) bird sporting clay course, food and refreshments. Shooters must provide their own shells (2-3/4”, #7-1/2, #8, or #9 only, 1 1/8 oz shot or less) for all events.

 

Twenty practice sporting clays stations will be open Friday from 11:00am – 4:00pm only. All practice shooters must be finished by 5:00. The Flurry Competition will run Friday 11:00am – 4:00pm and on Saturday from 8:00am – 4:00pm.

 
At the end of Saturday's Competition door prizes will be given away and several shotguns will be raffled. Shooters must be present to win door prizes. An awards ceremony and social will be held immediately following the afternoon competition on Saturday. Individual awards will be presented to HOA, RUNNER-UP, and 3rd place based on scores from all flights. Team awards will be presented for first, second, and third places for A, B, C, and D categories, as determined by the Lewis Class Scoring System. Ties will be settled by a score card shoot-off.
